My first applique quilt is finished, the Stars & Poppies from Minick and Simpson. It is made with the Wiscasset fabric of Moda. I appliqued it with the festoon stich and now that it is finished I want to learn how to applique with blind stitching on my next quilt. The book " how to learn to applique" is waiting to be read and luckily there are some ladies at the Bee who know the art of applique so I can turn to them for advise.
Today it was Rosa and Grandma day again. I loved it and it makes me really relaxed whe Rosa is here. I don't have to rush into all kind of things and can enjoy this quality time.
Het verse fruithapje ging er lekker in.
She loved the fresh mashed fruits.
Shannon had given me this cute little charm pack of Panier de Fleurs by French General and a pattern to make a pincushion at the Bee. It is really impossible to gather all the ladies at the same day so finally I just choose a date to get it made.
It was fun to make something together. For Patricia it was totally new, she never had made hexagon's before.
And this is the result. I think we did a good job between all the chitchatting.....
At the end of the evening Rennie's son came to pick her up and look what he brought with him...... James and Oliver, aren't they adorable?
