Dag 5 was de eerste dag van de AQS Quiltshow in Lancaster. De show wordt gehouden in het conferentie center van het Marriott hotel. Drie verdiepingen quilts, quilts, quilts en alles wat daarbij hoort.
Day 5 was the first day of the AQS Quiltshow in Lancaster. The show is being held in the conference center of the Marriott hotel. 3 levels of quilt, quilts, quilts and everything that comes with it.

Deze patronen van Lynette Anderson had ik staan bewonderen maar waren echt boven mijn begroting. Groot was dan ook de verrassing toen de meiden mij een tasje overhandigden met daarin alle patronen voor en kerst stitcherie, omdat ik de reis voor hun heb georganiseerd........nou vraag ik je.....dat is toch veel te veel en veel te gek.....? Kunnen jullie je voorstellen hoe blij ik hiermee ben?
This patterns of Lynette Anderson I was admiring before but they where really above my budget. Big was the surprise when the girls handes me a bag with all the patterns to make a Christmas stitcherie, because I had organised the trip they said.......now I ask you......isn't that way to much.....? Can you imagine how happy I am with this?

We krijgen uitleg in het gebruik van de Batting Buddy, een geweldige mal.

Op sommige quilts wordt je direct verliefd maar er zijn natuurlijk ook quilts bij waar ik niets mee heb.
Some quilts make you fall in love instantly but of course there are also quilts that don't work for me.
We hebben nu alles gezien en gekocht op de show wat we wilden, tijd voor nog een paar quiltshops dames?
We did see and buy all that we wanted on the quilt show, time for a few more quilt shops ladies?
Met prijzen onder de 6 euro de meter wordt het wel heel verleidelijk kopen.......
With prices less than 6 euro for a meter buying is so tempting......
Onze maagjes gaan knorren dus even gestopt voor een late lunch.
Our stomics are grunting so we stopped for a late lunch.
Terug in Intercourse voor de laatste quiltwinkels.........ik geloof nummer 9 en 10........
Back in Intercourse for the last quiltshops..........I believe # 9 and 10.........
Nu hebben we trek in een ijsje maar de ijswinkel is helaas gesloten, we rijden dus terug naar Strasburg, er zit een grote ijssalon vlak bij ons hotel.
Now we really are in for some icecream but the one here is closed so we drive back to Strasburg, there is one creamery near the hotel.
Ze gingen net sluiten maar wilden ons gelukkig nog wel aan een ijsje helpen.
They where just closing up but where willing to sell us some icecream.
Na zo'n dag zien we ons zelf al helemaal zitten op zo'n leuke veranda, met een quilt op schoot.
After a day like this we can imagine ourselfs, sitting on a nice porch like this with a quilt on our lap.
Morgen zullen we afscheid moeten nemen van Shannon en terugrijden richting Washington DC, het verslag van onze laatste dagen in de VS komt eraan.
Tomorrow we will have to say goodbey to Shannon and drive back to Washington DC, the story of our last days in the USA is coming up!
