Babyquilt

Nog twee maandjes en dan hopen Opa in spe en ik ons eerste kleinkind in onze armen te houden. Gisteren heeft Alex met Papa in spe de laatste lamp opgehangen en ik heb vorige week de laatste steekjes gezet aan een quilt voor het ledikantje. Ik had nog wat stofjes over van de quilt die ik voor het bed van Kees en Kelly heb gemaakt enkele jaren geleden en kocht er wat stofjes bij toen we in Maart in Amerika waren. Kelly verdiepte zich in quiltboeken en tijdschriften voor een patroon dat ze mooi vond en toen kon ik aan de slag, op de Bernina want er moeten nu wel meters gemaakt worden natuurlijk!
In about two months Grandpa to be and I hope to hold our first grandchild in our arms. Yesterday Alex and Papa to be, hung the last lamp in the nursery and I made the last stitches last week on this quilt for the crib. I had some left overs from the quilt I had made for Kees and Kelly a few years ago and I bought some new fabric when we where in the U.S. in March. Kelly got busy going through some quilt books and magazine in search of a pattern she likes and than I could do my job. On the Bernina this time because I had to speed it up a little!


En onlangs zag ik deze piepkleine sokjes liggen, precies in de goede kleur, daar kon ik natuurlijk geen weerstand aan bieden......
And recently I saw this tiny little socks in just the right color that of course I couldn't resist....

Dit was weer een berichtje met hindernissen, Blogger geeft nog steeds veel problemen met uploaden van foto's en ook het plaatsen van commentaren lukt niet bij iedereen.....ik lees wel alles hoor!
