In 2006 while on vacation in Baker City, Oregon I found a pattern of a quilt I just loved. The pattern was mine and I was lucky to find the matching fabric I needed in the "Traditions Quilt Shop".
Vervolgens lag de stof een paar jaar te wachten tot het aan de beurt was......hebben we niet allemaal meer stof dan we aan kunnen? The fabric had to wait a few years till it was it's turn.....don't we all have more fabric then we can handle?
Maar nu, na anderhalf jaar af en aan werken aan de quilt heb ik vandaag eindelijk het laatste steekje gezet. But now after a year and a half working on the quilt I set my final stitches today.
Alex en ik zijn dol op het bezoeken van een Rodeo we proberen er elk jaar wel één te bezoeken. Zoals afgelopen zomer in Utah.
Alex and I love to go to a Rodeo and try to visit one every year. Like last summer in Utah.
Deze avond ligt nog steeds vers in ons geheugen. Wat is er dus een betere manier dan ter herinnering mijn quilt te vernoemen naar de rodeo.
This evening still lies fresh in our memories. So what better way to remember this by than to name my quilt after that rodeo.
Ik denk dat dit voorlopig de laatste quilt is die ik helemaal met de hand heb gemaakt. Ik ga nu proberen me meer te bekwamen in het quilten op de machine, kijken of dat lukt!
I think this is temporarely the last quilt I made by hand. I am going to try to learn to quilt on the machine, wonder how that will turn out!

Yvonne that quilt is a work of art. It turned out amazing. We feel honored that you would name it after the rodeo in our town. The memories stay fresh in my mind too. We have been watching the NFR thats taking place in Las Vegas in the evenings this last week. I keep thinking of both of you and how much you would be enjoying it. Is this quilt going on your bed or are you using it as a wall hanging? Very nice, I bet Alex loved it.
