Het blogwereldje is toch wel heel speciaal. Zoals jullie waarschijnlijk wel weten hebben Shannon en ik elkaar leren kennen via het blog. Iedereen die ons verhaal hoort vindt het een geweldig verhaal en inmiddels fantaseren Shannon en ik er lustig op los om er een boek over te schrijven waarna we natuurlijk benaderd worden door iemand uit Hollywood die er een film van wil maken.....(ja,.... moet blijven dromen nietwaar)
In ieder geval, ik had vandaag weer een bijzondere ontmoeting met Whitey, http://whitey-skunkhollow.blogspot.com/ wij volgen elkaars blog ook al een tijdje en ik geniet altijd van de prachtige foto's die ze maakt van haar kleinkinderen en de prachtige natuur in Utah. Whitey had haar vriendin en blogster Gayle http://themiddlesister.blogspot.com/ meegenomen. Zo leuk om mede blogsters in het echie te ontmoeten!
Isn't the blogging world something special? As you all probably know Shannon and I met eacother through blogging. Everyone who hears our story thinks it is amazing and sometimes Shannon and I are dreaming about writing a book about it of wich someone from Hollywood will love to make a movie of course.....( yes...you have to keep dreaming)
Anyway, today I had another special meeting with Whitey, http://whitey-skunkhollow.blogspot.com/ we follow eachother's blog for a while now and I always enjoy the beautiful pictrures she makes of her grandkids and the amazing nature of Utah. Whitey brought her friend and blogger Gayle http://themiddlesister.blogspot.com/ It was so much fun to meet her for real.

We ontmoeten elkaar in Park City, daar werden in 2002 tijdens de Olympische spelen diverse sporten gespeeld en omdat we daar toch waren bezochten Alex en ik het Olympisch Museum.
The meeting was in Park City, in 2002 there were held several sports during the Olympics. Alex and I visited the Olympic Museum.
En wie zagen we daar.... een van onze schaatshelden, Jochem Uytdehaage.
And who we found there....one of our skating heroes, Jochem Uytdehaage.
In Heber City bezochten we de Historic Railroad, je kunt er nog steeds een ritje met een oude stoomtrein maken. In Heber City we stopped at the Historic Railroad, you can still make a trip with these old trains.
In Provo Canyon waren we vanochtend al langs een prachtige waterval gereden, de Bridal Veil Falls. Op de terugweg even gestopt en even lekker de voetjes in het verkoelende water dacht ik.....Nou ja...verkoelend, zeg maar gerust ijskoud. Ik had bijna onmiddelijk ijsklompjes!
In Provo Canyon we passed a beautiful waterfall this morning, the Bridal Veil Falls. We made a stop on the way back. I thought it would be nice to soak my feet in the cool water.....yeay cool....you can say freezing. My feet were icecubes in no-time!
Maar het blijft een prachtig gezicht dat vallende water.
But the falling water is always a pretty sight.
Dit is Lily, het hondje van de eigenaar van wie we de beneden verdieping van zijn huis huren. Haar baasjes zijn overdag aan het werk en als wij er dan nog wel zijn komt ze maar al te graag even buurten en een beetje aandacht vragen.
This is Lily, she is the dog of the owner of who we rent the basement. Her owner's are at work during the day and she loves to come and visit us when we are here and get some attention.
Dag 21 is al weer een zonovergoten dag in Utah. We boffen ontzettend met het prachtige nazomer weer.
In Kearns (Salt Lake City) staat de Olympic Oval, de Olympische schaatsbaan met het snelste ijs ter wereld.
Day 21 already and again one with bright sunshine in Utah. We are so blessed with this beautiful weather. In Kearns we find the Olympic Oval, the Olympic Ice rink with the fastest ice in the world.
En kijk, ons kleine landje is groot in schaatsers! 'Onze' Sven Kramer staat vermeldt met maar liefst 2 wereldrecords!
And look, our little country is big in skaters! 'Our' Sven Kramer is on the board with 2 world records in speedskating!
Shannon begint vandaag na de zomerstop weer met haar 'tassen klassen' en nu ik toch nog hier ben ga ik natuurlijk graag op cursus bij haar. De dames uit haar klas waren blij dat ze weer een cursus gaf.
Shannon is starting her bag classes again after summer and since I am still here of course I love to attent to a class. The ladis of her class were also happy she is starting them again.
We maken een door Shannon ontworpen tas, ik heb de stof uitgezocht en Shannon heeft alles netjes op maat gesneden, een naaimachine stond ook voor me klaar. Wat een goede verzorging!
We make a bag that is designed by Shannon. I found nice fabric for it and Shannon cut all the fabric for me in the right size, it was all ready and waiting for me, including the sewing machine, how well taking care of!
Daurene is ook een blogvriendin van Shannon uit Orem en kende ook mijn blog! Ik zei het al eerder; Het is een klein wereldje!

Het was weer geweldig om een cursus te mogen volgen bij Shannon!
