Linda, the daughter of my friend Ada, is going to do some voluntary work in a children and elderly home in Bosnia. The young ones have to pay for there own trip and stay and so they are organizing all kinds of activities to earn money. Linda and her classmates gave a workshop making cakes and of course I wanted to partecipate........mmmmm yammie!

Nou, het resultaat mag er zijn toch?
Well the result is not to bad is it?
En woensdag hebben we de tweede les machinequilten gehad bij Los en kregen we huiswerk mee.And wednesday we had the second lesson in machine quilting at Los and we took some homework home. Deze techniek is niet echt mijn ding, meanderen.

Hier komt nog een applicatie op. On this one comes an applique.
Eenmaal bezig kreeg ik de smaak te pakken en durfde ik het aan om mijn eerste machinaal gequilte top door te stikken.
When I was busy I acquired a taste for it and I dared to quilt the first top I made on the machine.
Van Rennie kreeg ik deze mooi tulpen, ze ruiken niet alleen heerlijk maar geven me ook het gevoel dat de Lente er aan komt!
Rennie brought me this tulips, not only do they smell lovely but they also give a the feeling that spring is coming!

Wouw wat een mooie taart zeg en wat ziet dat machinaal quilten er gaaf uit. Ik wil er donderdag alles over horen.

Joh, je gaat hartstikke goed met dat machinequilten. Leuke blokken zijn het trouwens, lekker fris die kleurtjes.Ziet er allemaal perfect uit, vind ik. Wel stoer, dat je het aandurft om thuis een top te "machine-quilten"!

Machine quilting to me is like wearing a pair of pants that are to tight... to much material to fit into a small space! Looks like you are getting the hang of it.

En dan zeggen ze nog die jeugd van tegenwoordig!! Prima initiatief.
He die huisjes heb ik toch ook ooit ergens gemaakt straks eens zoeken in mijn quiltmand. Leuke frisse stofje daar hou ik wel van.

Leuk is dat he, zelf taarten decoreren. Wij hebben ooit een workshop cupcakes decoreren gedaan: erg leuk (en lekker ^_^)
Machine quilten heb ik eigenlijk (afgezien van rechte lijnen) ook nooit gedaan. Is volgens mij nog best lastig, om bijvoorbeeld freemotion te doen. Succes!
