Eindelijk....we hebben er lang op moeten wachten maar het lijkt er nu toch echt op dat de zomer is gearriveerd! Worden jullie ook zo blij van deze aangename temperaturen?
Finally....we had to wait a long time but it seems like summer has arrived! Are you all getting happy too from this nice temperatures?
Gisteravond konden we na lange tijd Cisca weer verwelkomen op de Bee. Cisca was het afgelopen half jaar verhinderd op donderdagavond en we hebben haar gemist. Fijn dat ze er weer is! Ze bracht een prachtige top van batikstoffen mee die ze voor haar dochter aan het maken is.
Yesterday evening we could welcome Cisca again at the Bee. Cisca was occupied with other things the past 6 months on thursdaynight and we missed her. Glad she is back! She brought a beautiful top of Batik fabric she is making for her daughter.
En Francella is weer aan een hele grote quilt begonnen met schattige stofjes waaronder de kamperfoeliestof in het midden. Ze showde ons haar eerste blok.
And Francella started a very big quilt with lovely fabric, among them the honeysuckle fabric in the middle. She showed us her first finished block.
En dan was ik nog helemaal vergeten een foto van de leuke kaart te posten die we van Hilde kregen vanuit New York. Dat was zo leuk, ze had er allerlei belevenissen in geschreven vanuit de 'Big Apple'. Zo was ze er toch een beetje bij. Ik vraag me af of we nog mee kaarten krijgen van vakantievierende quilters uit de Bee.
I completely forgot to post a picture of the nice card we got from Hilde from New York. That was so much fun, she wrote all about her whereabouts in 'the Big Apple'. So it was if she was somehow with us. I wonder if we will receive more postcards from holidaying quilters from the Bee.
Deze week ben ik druk geweest met van alles en nog wat behalve quilten lijkt het wel. Ik heb onze zieke Rennie een bezoekje gebracht die aan alwéér een nieuwe antibioticakuur is begonnen. Volhouden Ren! Heb slechts de magere oogst van 2 bloemetjes te showen. Allemaal een heel fijn zonnig weekend gewenst!
This week it seems that I was busy with this and that, except quilting. I payed a visit to Rennie who is ill and just started another antibiotics cure. Keep up the spirit Ren!

Is the beach picture close to your home? Your flowers are coming right along. I can't believe how well your stripes line up perfectly. Did you plan that or did it happen by chance? Sorry to hear Renni is not feeling well. You are such a nice friend. I am sure she enjoyed your visit.
Enjoy the summer, we have more then enough summer here and I often wish for colder weather, oh well can't have it all.

Voor mij mag het wel een heel stuk minder hoor. Veel te heet. Bij mij in huis is het net zo warm als buiten. Niks te handwerken, naalden glijden tussen mijn vingers vandaan en dat prikt niet zo lekker door de stof. Je bloemetjes zijn super leuk. Groetjes, Erna
